What is green infrastructure?
The designs for the Dietz Stadium parking lot and surrounding drives will use green infrastructure practices such as porous pavement and bioswales that filter stormwater runoff. Greenspace featuring street trees and other indigenous plants to improve drainage and beautify the lot will also be created within the site plan.
What is a master plan?
A Master Plan is a dynamic long-term planning document that provides a conceptual layout to guide future growth and development. It typically includes analysis of existing conditions, recommendations, and proposals for a site or municipality's population, economy, housing, transportation, community facilities, and/or land use.
The Dietz Stadium & Andretta Pool Master Plan will include a full description of needed infrastructure repairs and upgrades as well as a wish list of the amenities the community would like to see. It will guide the City in creating a state-of-the-art complex that will draw residents and visitors to Uptown Kingston, providing a significant boost to our local economy.
