Please don't sacrifice cyclist safety on Schwenk Drive

I'm very sad to see the scope of the Schwenk Drive project has been narrowed so drastically. I really hope the City will still do something to increase safety for cyclists on this street and that in the imminent future that can include a protected bike lane. We have 5 lanes for cars and nothing for our most vulnerable road users :-(

Taking out crosswalks is a mistake

Removing the crosswalks at Main crossing Clinton is a terrible idea. Forcing pedestrians to walk to another corner to cross is punitive and belittling, it privileges cars, as does so much of Kingston's infrastructure. Removing these crosswalks will just make drivers go faster and reduce safety for everyone else. Also, why don't the ADA ramps line up with the crosswalks??
