A wayfinding plan will be created for the Greenline network of trails and complete streets. The plan will result in graphic sign standards that will improve accessibility by informing users about access points, distances, rules when using the network, and more. Signage and kiosk designs will build upon the Connecting Kingston Signage & Wayfinding Plan.

The final deliverable will be a graphic sign standards manual including sign types, installation and maintenance instructions, placement guidelines, and cost estimates. In addition, a pilot program plan including locations of approximately 25 signs along one segment of the Greenline will be created that would be bid-ready. Implementation would not be part of this project.

Outreach will be conducted in early fall 2023 with remote and in-person surveys. The project is planned to be completed by February 2024.

A budget of $42,000 has been provided by the Creating Health Schools and Communities NYSDOH grant program. The Greenline improvements are part of their connecting routes to everyday destinations work.
