Kingston Greenline Wayfinding Plan
The Kingston Greenline Signage Standards & Graphics Manual is here.
A wayfinding and signage plan has been created for the Greenline network of trails and complete streets. The plan has graphic sign standards that will improve accessibility by informing users about access points, distances, rules when using the network, and more. Signage and kiosk designs build upon the Connecting Kingston Signage & Wayfinding Plan that is for the whole City of Kingston.
The graphic sign standards manual includes sign types, installation and maintenance instructions, placement guidelines, and cost estimates. In addition, a pilot signage program plan has been created.
Outreach was conducted in fall 2023 with remote and in-person surveys and a final plan was created in 2024.
Funding was provided by the Creating Health Schools and Communities NYSDOH grant program. The Greenline improvements are part of their connecting routes to everyday destinations work.
