Kingston is a city of small business. We have hundreds of independent businesses, selling products and services both locally and around the world.

However, small businesses everywhere are struggling to compete with Amazon and other giant retailers. To support our local shops, restaurants and specialty stores, the City is exploring ways in which we can help them be more resilient and prosperous.

Below you'll find several proposed ideas to help us realize this goal. More details were given about each proposal at a series of meetings with business owners. For more details, see the Kingston Business Community Presentation, which is included under the Documents section on the right side of this page.

We welcome your input – please scroll through each poll and let us know whether or not you think the suggestions have merit. The polls will be available for your responses through March 19.
