Bicycle Rack Request
Is your business or not-for-profit in need of a bike rack? The City of Kingston is taking requests for interest in a free bicycle rack installation! Please fill out the form below!
Locations must be a business or not-for-profit within the City of Kingston and able to accommodate a 24in x 35in x 6in bicycle rack without restricting Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) access to the sidewalk. The minimum space for installation is 4ft x 7ft. Here is a bike rack placement guidance document.
To be considered for a free bike rack and installation, fill out the form below.
A City of Kingston staff member will review the site and will assess for viability and sidewalk ADA accessibility requirements:
- a minimum of 4ft of sidewalk and a 5ft passing area no more than 200 linear feet apart.
- racks can be installed 16in back from the sidewalk curb.
- Concrete or asphalt surface (brick and bluestone may not be appropriate).
- Property owners are able to provide maintenance/upkeep after installation.
If your location qualifies, you will be contacted with the next steps and a timeline. An email or letter of permission from the property owner is also required.
